About the Initiative

The initiative aims to expand access to elite higher education at Israel’s leading universities for students from the social and geographic periphery, and for individuals who are the first in their family to study at university.

The initiative provides scholarships and individual support for first-generation students in competitive fields where they are typically underrepresented, and supports university efforts to collect and analyze data on representation of first-generation students and adopt innovative admissions criteria.

The initiative promotes meaningful involvement of leading universities at the high school stage for the purpose of diversifying their pipeline and is exploring the potential of colleges to act as bridges to graduate studies at leading universities.
