The Zipori River Conference 2026, convened under the leadership of the Kishon Drainage and Rivers Authority alongside the project’s partners, brought together representatives of local authorities, government ministries, environmental organisations, and communities from across the region to mark more than five years of collaborative work within the National Zipori River Rehabilitation Project. The conference addressed the full breadth of the rehabilitation process, emphasising the importance of connecting ecological restoration with sustained collective effort \u2014 grounded in the understanding that the renewal of the River and the strengthening of its surrounding landscape are intertwined, and dependent on long-term partnership among all stakeholders.<\/p>\n

During the conference, the partners signed the Zipori Stream Charter, expressing their shared commitment to the continuation of the process and to the preservation of its achievements over time.<\/p>\n

Central to the work at Zipori is the recognition that healthy ecosystems are a foundation for human well-being. Accordingly, alongside the rehabilitation of the river itself, the project contributes to strengthening the bonds between communities, individuals, and the shared landscape in which they live.<\/p>\n

The National Project for the Rehabilitation of the Zipori River forms part of Yad Hanadiv’s Environment portfolio, which works to advance partnership-based ecological restoration and to deepen the relationship between people, nature, and place.<\/p>\n
