Gedeon Dagan
Hydrology | 2006
Rothschild Prize in Engineering

Gedeon Dagan, a Professor at the Faculty of Engineering at Tel Aviv University, is renowned for his contributions to science of hydrology. His pioneering research on the relationship between pollutants, subsurface formations, transport processes, and groundwater, established the basis for a new field within geohydrology, where contaminant spreading in the subsurface environment is determined in such a way that it accounts for heterogeneity and for biochemical processes.
